Perhaps spurred by other Westbound artists’ forays into the massively popular, burgeoning disco movement of the mid 70s, Denise LaSalle’s third album contains touches clearly aimed at the dance floor. Disco Blues, perhaps? Those averse to the slick arrangements of disco shouldn’t worry, though, because Ms. LaSalle still keeps the blues at the forefront, and her powerful voice still shakes the soul. It’s lovely cap to her run of albums with Westbound.
